Since 1980, the Utah Cultural Alliance has been a statewide voice advocating for arts, museums, and humanities across Utah. Representing over 300 cultural organizations and thousands of creative professionals, we strive to strengthen Utah's cultural industry environment to enrich the lives of all Utahns.
UCA operates through two distinct entities:
Utah Cultural Alliance Foundation (501c3): Dedicated to creating a supportive environment for the arts, humanities, and culture. We emphasize career development, showcasing and promoting the cultural industry, and impact data analysis and reporting, to promote informed public and private investment in culture.
Utah Cultural Alliance (501c4): As our advocacy segment, this arm works to promote policies that benefit the cultural sector. From initiatives like the "1% for art" programs where we got our start, to funding, consumer protection, live events, and more, we are focused on positive policy outcomes for culture in Utah.
Currently, 108,560 individuals are involved in the arts, humanities, and cultural sectors in Utah. The collective efforts of this industry contribute $17.8 billion in sales and $309 million in tax revenue. UCA stands with them to promote and support their continued success.
